  1. Please add me to your mailing list…, Rick Temple… A 70 year old bass player in a small Baptist church in Missouri/. I find your youtube videos very useful as I pick out my bass lines and learn new praise songs. Thank you

    1. Hey Rick! Thanks for your message and for checking out my YouTube videos. Love to hear that your bringing your maturity and experience to the worship team! I’m having some problems getting my mailing list together, so please let me know if you don’t get any updates within the next 3 weeks. Also, please let me know how I can help you with further tutorials, lessons or cover songs. God bless you brother! Mike

  2. Hi Mike,
I’m not really a newbie to the bass world but am always looking for ways to get off my latest plateau. I started about 15 yrs. ago when the church I was attending was needing someone to play. My brother has played for years and I was a music major in college (trumpet). How tough can it be. This far down the road and am just now starting to see all the things I need to unlearn. I’m 58 plating with kids and loving every minute of it. I really like the new contemporary P&W music. I hope it continues to progress and would love to write some of my own someday. I will go through your videos and hope to learn your thumb technique. I’ve yet to find a pick that really sounds right and just prefer using my fingers. Couldn’t help hearing a little TOP in the background. Been a fan since I became aware in the early 70’s. Thought the horn section was the place to be but now I know the rhythm section runs the show.

Take Care, Keep Jammin’ and by all means Keep the Faith!!!

    1. Hey Kyle, Thanks for the comment! Happy to talk through the thumb technique with you if you’re ever on Skype. Nothing like TOP’s grooves and powerful horn section! Love it! Thanks again and keep teachin’ those kids a thing or two:-)

    1. Hey Steve! Thanks for signing up! Please let me know if you’re not receiving any email alerts within the next few weeks, as I’m still trying to get all this website stuff figured out:-). Also, I’d like to offer a free 30-minute phone call or Skype session to discuss your bass playing and to answer any questions you might have.

      Mike
